This 13.6 acre, $6 million project involved the construction of two buildings, totaling 138,000 square feet, as an addition to Northern Tier Business Center. The buildings' unique concrete spandrel system and offset solar reflective glass have set a new standard in the region for high-tech architecture. The project was designed and built to meet the needs of Intel Corporation, an international manufacturer of computer chips. Located in the heart of the Silicon Valley of the Pacific Northwest, neighboring companies include Tektronix, Epson, NEC America, and Fujitsu. Intel's production requirements forced a demanding construction schedule through the winter of 1984/85. Both buildings were completed on time and within budget. |
